Random Beer Review: Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest

Nice head!

I always like trying some new brews and it’s good to get some advice on beers.  Being that it is Fall, why not recommend a good Oktoberfest I had the other day?  Everyone and there mother’s are pumping out Oktoberfests and Pumpkin Ales these days.  But I tried one the other day that is probably more low key here in the states but I could be wrong.

Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest comes straight from Germany.  It has that classic Oktoberfest malty flavor to it but yet it also reminds you of most German beers.  I’m not sure how to describe that taste, but if you’ve ever drank a German beer you know what I’m talking about.   This brewery is old as hell (was founded in 1417) too so I’m sure Das Fuhrer and the boys used slam these down back during Dub Dub Duece, so there’s a cool little history nugget.   Hell this brewery is so old Martin Luther was probably tanked off these during the enitre Reformation.

If you can pick up a sixer at your beer distributor I would say it’s worth a try.  And if she is serving them to you, even better!
