Rangers win, no they don’t, Rangers win, no they don’t, Cardinals win, we’ll see you tomorrow night

As Yankee announcer John Sterling says, Suzyn how can you predict baseball.  A game that started out very sloppy became a classic that ended with a David Freese homerun to dead center field to lead off the bottom of the 11th.  With the score tied 4-4 in the top of the 7th Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz hit back to back homers and then an RBI single made the score 7-4 Texas.  In the bottom of the 8th Allen Craig homered to make it a 7-5 game.  Then in the bottom of the 9th with Texas closer Neftali Feliz on the mound and the ginger ale on ice in the Rangers locker room with 2 on and 2 outs and 2 strikes David Freese tripled off the rf wall over the outstretched glove of Nelson Cruz to tie the game.  Then in the top of the 10th Josh Hamilton hit a 2 run homer to give Texas a 9-7 lead.  It was as if you couldn’t write a better script with the former number 1 pick who battled drug and alcohol addictions and was also involved in the tragic death of a fan at rangers game earlier this season.  However it wasn’t meant to be, as with runners on first and second including Pujols who was intentionally walked, with the score 9-8 and 2 outs and a 2-2 count Lance Berkman blooped a single to knot the score at 9 and once again the ginger ale celebration in the Rangers locker room was on hold.  Finally in the bottom of the 11th with David Freese at the plate this happened…

Sending the 2011 World Series to a deciding game 7 for the first time in a decade.

And we'll see you tomorrow night!
