NHL Lock of the Night

NEW YORK ISLANDERS (-140) vs Winnipeg Jets

If the Islanders (3-4-2) don’t beat the Jets (4-6-1) tonight at home, they might not win another game the rest of the season.  They need this game that bad.  I didn’t even look at any other games on the schedule tonight, that’s how confident I am.  It’s the same thing every year with this Islanders team.  Start off decent, then go on a bazillion game losing streak.  This season is no different as the Islanders started 3-1 and looked like they finally had things turned around.  Now they’re in the midst of a 5 game losing streak and desperately need to get a victory.  Granted 2 of the loses came in OT/Shootout, but they are still loses nonetheless.

So far this year the Isles biggest struggle has been scoring goals.  The Jets are giving up about 15 goals per game, so if they can’t find a way to score against them, it’s going to be a long-ass season.  The Jets are also in the middle of a long road trip so hopefully they’re nice and tired.  One quick warning however… Rick DiPietro is in net for the Islanders tonight.

Dolla… Dolla… Bills ya’ll!
